OFFICE TRIP TO BRAZIL 2022

This was the first time we visited origami house in the city of Lucas do Rio Verde, Mato Grosso. The project was designed entirely from Switzerland and this trip was an ideal opportunity to check its design and get feedback from those great professionals on charge of its construction. We visited also the south of Bahia, the region where the Portuguese first arrived and left some historical landmarks and great examples of colonial architecture in Brazil. In the village of Trancoso our team was immersed in some inspiring tropical vernacular architecture. We visited Museu Inhotim in Minas Gerais, with its outstanding mix of contemporary architecture, art and tropical landscape. Some of its galleries represent the contemporary architecture in Brazil at its best. In Minas Gerais we also visited the historical city of Ouro Preto, where the Brazilian sculptor and architect Antônio Francisco Lisboa, more commonly known as Aleijadinho, produced, together with the Brazilian artist Mestre Ataíde, many masterpieces of Portuguese colonial architecture in Brazil.
